After a 5 km jungle walk \u2014 sometimes on wooden boardwalks over marshes \u2014 you reach the tranquil lake. There, you\u2019ll paddle silently in a canoe, spotting <strong>giant river otters<\/strong>, <strong>caimans<\/strong>, turtles, and countless bird species.<\/p><p>The <strong>eco-lodges<\/strong> here are top-tier \u2014 comfortable rooms (some even with jacuzzis), excellent food, and expert naturalist guides who know the forest intimately. Night walks reveal an entirely different world \u2014 tarantulas, glowing insects, colorful frogs, and eyes shining back at your flashlight beam.<\/p><p><strong>Practical tip:<\/strong> Lodges are 1\u20133 hours away by boat; the further you go, the more wildlife you\u2019ll see.
