Day 1: Arrival in Lima<\/strong><\/p>

Land in Peru’s vibrant capital and enjoy a warm welcome at Jorge Ch\u00e1vez International Airport. Transfer to your hotel in the elegant district of Miraflores, located on the shores of the Pacific Ocean at 80 meters above sea level. Lima, known as the “City of Kings,” masterfully combines colonial architecture with modern skyscrapers and preserves more than 2,000 years of Peruvian history. During the afternoon, relax and acclimate to the local schedule. If you wish, you can explore the Miraflores Boardwalk with its impressive ocean views, carefully maintained gardens, and the emblematic Park of Love, home to “The Kiss” sculpture by renowned Peruvian artist V\u00edctor Delf\u00edn.<\/p>

Day 2: Flight to Cusco<\/strong><\/p>

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to catch a morning flight to the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. The approximately 1 hour and 20-minute journey offers spectacular views of the Andes. Upon arrival in Cusco, located at 3,400 meters above sea level, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in the historic heart of the city. Spend the afternoon gradually acclimating to the altitude. We recommend resting, staying properly hydrated, and perhaps enjoying a traditional coca tea, a local remedy that helps mitigate the effects of altitude. From your hotel, you can appreciate the charming terracotta rooftops and cobblestone streets that characterize this city, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.<\/p>

Day 3: Cusco City Tour<\/strong><\/p>

Begin your day with a nutritious breakfast before embarking on a fascinating tour of the imperial city. Your adventure starts in the historic center with a visit to the Plaza de Armas, the beating heart of Cusco since pre-Columbian times. Here you will admire the imposing Cathedral, built between 1560 and 1654 on the ancient palace of Inca Viracocha, which houses an extraordinary collection of colonial art, including the famous painting of “The Last Supper” featuring a guinea pig as the main dish. Continue to the Qoricancha or Temple of the Sun, the most important religious compound of the Inca Empire, upon which the Church of Santo Domingo was built. Its walls, once covered in gold, testify to advanced Inca engineering and perfect stonework. In the afternoon, explore the impressive archaeological sites on the outskirts of the city: Sacsayhuam\u00e1n, with its colossal stone blocks weighing up to 125 tons; Qenqo, an ancient temple dedicated to the puma; Tambomachay, known as “the Inca’s bath”; and Puka Pukara, a checkpoint on the Inca road.<\/p>

Day 4: Sacred Valley \/ Train to Aguas Calientes<\/strong><\/p>

Embark on a morning journey to the mystical Sacred Valley of the Incas, located at a lower altitude (2,870 meters), where the temperate climate and fertile lands allowed the development of important agricultural and ceremonial centers. Visit the town of Pisac, famous for its colorful craft market and the archaeological complex that dominates the valley from the heights. Here you’ll appreciate impressive agricultural terraces, temples, and an Inca necropolis. After a buffet lunch featuring local cuisine, explore the fortress of Ollantaytambo, a remarkable example of Inca urban planning that has been continuously inhabited since the 13th century. Its temples, plazas, and irrigation systems remain intact, offering a unique window into the pre-Columbian past. At sunset, board the train to Aguas Calientes (2,040 meters) on a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes that winds alongside the Urubamba River, traversing a spectacular change in ecosystem from the Andes to the beginning of the high jungle.<\/p>

Day 5: Machu Picchu \/ Train to Ollantaytambo \/ Transfer to Cusco<\/strong><\/p>

Wake up early to ascend to one of the wonders of the modern world. A short 30-minute bus ride will take you along a winding road to the entrance of the citadel of Machu Picchu, located at 2,430 meters above sea level. Officially discovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, this masterpiece of engineering remains as testimony to the building genius of the Incas. Your visit will follow the assigned circuit available for that day, respecting the conservation regulations implemented by Peru’s Ministry of Culture. Each circuit offers a unique perspective of the citadel, allowing you to appreciate sectors such as the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the residential and agricultural areas, accompanied by detailed explanations from your specialized guide. In the afternoon, descend to Aguas Calientes to board your return train to Ollantaytambo, where private transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco, culminating a day of immersion in Inca history.<\/p>

Day 6: Free Day in Cusco<\/strong><\/p>

Enjoy a full day to explore Cusco at your own pace. With more than 500 years of cultural fusion between Andean and Hispanic influences, the city offers countless treasures to discover. We recommend visiting the San Pedro Market, where local colors, aromas, and flavors concentrate in an authentic exchange space; the bohemian neighborhood of San Blas, home to renowned artisans; or some of the excellent museums such as the Pre-Columbian Art Museum or the Inka Museum. Alternatively, you can opt for an optional excursion to the Mountain of Seven Colors (Vinicunca), the Maras Salt Mines, or the circular terraces of Moray, notable examples of Inca adaptation to diverse microclimates. Cusque\u00f1an gastronomy deserves special attention this day: try specialties such as chiri uchu, baked guinea pig, or Andean trout in one of the traditional or high-cuisine restaurants that abound in the city.<\/p>

Day 7: Transfer to the Airport<\/strong><\/p>

After a final breakfast at your hotel, enjoy free time according to your flight schedule.
